A water trail is a stretch of river or lake that is mapped and managed especially for canoeing, kayaking, boating and camping. Water trails across the state feature public water accesses, campsites, rest areas and over 4,500 miles of paddling. Along these river reaches, the DNR focuses on the safety of water trail users by providing signs and buoys, removing obstructions and enforcing rules and regulations. DNR staff and Minnesota Conservation Corps (MCC) crews work statewide on these trails removing navigational hazards (such as fallen trees) with minimal disruption to native habitat.

This is a feature class for the State Water Trail which is Long Prairie River.
